Gal the Ghost Princess writing exercise

Well, I said I'd share stuff from Gal the Ghost Princess. Here's a little scene I wrote that sorta just came to me. It has no real context to the broader story rn I'm just exploring what sort of things Gal might experience tonally and thematically throughout the story. This scene is quite dark though and I wouldn't want anything like this to happen until pretty late into the story (I want to make this a long running series.)

I'm currently doing research on real life spiritualism and mediumship with ghosts in different cultures to do research for this story. I have potentially good motives for the antagonist, which is important because they impact the story pretty much immediately since they're the reason Gal dies and becomes a ghost. But I'll make another post on that later.

I'm hoping to have the opening chapter done soon, so you guys can get the general premise and the hook of the story and the sort of formula I want to use for each chapter, but right now I'm still lacking enough character and setting to get it working.
